7960 is the phone that has buttons with english words over them

like

messages
services
directions
settings
volume etc.
on the phone buttons

7960G is the global version of the phone
There is
envelope icon on the messages button
world icon on the services button
book icon on the directions button
etc.

If your customer says that IP Phone users are not english speakers you d better to order 7960G

Jose,

I checked the Cisco website and I think that 7960 is just the name for the
platform family (similar to Cisco 2500 series) and 7960G is actually the
name for the actual IP Phone model.

Georg
