Larry,

with all due respect, $1,500 is a whole lot of money to pay for the exam.
Compare that to what other companies charge for their exams. I would
actually like to see that amount come down to let4s say $500. That would
still be expensive.
Admittedly it used to be that with a CCIE certification you could ask almost
anything and you would get it. Not any more, so why doesn4t the price for
the lab come down ? You can have twice as many people in the lab now as
during the 2-day lab.
I think in general Cisco is expensive: to give you an example, the list
price for 8MB DRAM for the 2500 series is $350. I just bought generic memory
from another supplier for $15.
