The original question was how to see only IP traffic of another port.
Clearly it's a SPAN problem, but as far as limiting your monitoring to
seeing only IP traffic from that source port, sounds like a port-based ACL
might work, unless Cisco has added ACL support to the SPAN session itself.
I haven't personally played with a 3550 yet, but I'm worked on some 2950s,
so I'm assuming it's similar. Not sure what it has to do with IP routing
though, unless there's a restriction on adding a port-based VLAN to a routed
port, err, interface. Someone with a 3550 to test this out there? I'll
look at the 2950.
