RE: Topic on Cisco Trainining

I used them for the IP Telephony certification. The courses were OK but not
great. There's a lot of chit-chat and the instructors try a bit too hard to
be cute or your "virtual" buddy. There is a fair bit of good information in
them (unfortunately there is a little bit of "bad" info, too) and they do
have the advantage over instructor-led courses of being accessible 24x7 for
six weeks. And, you can keep going over material you may not understand the
first time.

Personally, I think they're most useful if you have a broad networking
background but are relatively ignorant of the particular subject the course
is teaching, as I was with the IP Tel. But, hey, the boss paid, I passed,
and who knows, I might not have without the training.

Hope this helps,

robert

Subject: Topic on Cisco Trainining

Has anyone had any training with any of Global Knowledges E-Learning
courses(Cisco related)?
If so, are you able to comment on how it compares to instructor based
training
or if you found it beneficial? - thanks

Christine Murray
