Just one addition to below
If the summary that you are trying to create falls on a classful boundary
then
1) Use the network command on bgp configuration , advertising the classful
network, and it will show it in the BGP table if <auto-summary> is turned on
and there is a subnet of it in the R-Table
2) Put filters to your IBGP peer to filter the subnets and a filter to other
peers to filter the classful network (if reqd)
