Hi Everyone,
The GroupStudy CCIE Lab list circuit breakers fired probably late Friday
night. This was caused because someone on Road Runner is feeding all
messages from late October-November back to the list. Because of the
filtering software we use, the looped message should have been filtered
and not made it to the list. But if you were included in the message as
for example a cc: to a response, you will receive the duplicate.
Because it is being sent from Road Runner direct to your account, there
is no way for me to filter it. I have attached a header to an e-mail
that is being looped to show how it happens.
This attack from RoadRunner did cause the list circuit breakers to fire,
thus denying any messages since Saturday morning. The way I designed
GroupStudy is I have the list shutdown if it senses anything unusual.
This is to prevent the alternative which is 1000's of e-mails being sent
out because of a mail-bomb or loop.
I have found 26 or so messages that have been blocked. I have tried to
resend those messages. If you do not see your message come across in
the next hour or so, please resend.
