Congratulations, Tom. I believe Cisco just got way behind on ordering the
plaques. I passed back at the end of May, when I believe they were still in
the process of redesigning the plaque from an older design, and I think they
processed everyone in order during the catch-up phase. I just got mine about
a week ago. I don't have the box handy, but it was FedEx'ed from an awards
company with an address near the RTP office of Cisco.
It's quite elegant, in my opinion: a sort of beveled acrylic panel in front
of a Cisco-ey colored green and blue thing, with white lettering. I like it,
although I don't have any wall surface in my cubicle that's strong enough to
support a dense object hanging from it.
Fortunately their computer systems work a lot faster than anything physical;
my CCO profile was updated the same morning they sent the email.

Subject: OT: CCIE certificate or plaque?
To those who have recently received their numbers:
I passed my lab on Oct. 2 to receive number 10402. Today, November 21 I
received my CCIE Welcome Package in the mail. It contained a very nice
letter and a certificate...but no plaque. Is Cisco still sending out
plaques or have they decided to save some money and start sending out paper.
Just curious.... Thanks,
Tom Warner
