Is vlan 1 active in the vtp database ?

provide an output of

show vtp domain
show vlan 1
show trunk 15/1
show module

on msfc

show interface vlan 1
show run

Does a reset of the MSFC or shut/no shut of the interface help ?

Do you have dual or single msfc in the chassis ?

get a output of

show trunk 15/1

native vlan of 15/1 is not vlan 1 and the port 15/1 is not trunking

enabling isl trunking

Why would vlan 1 ever show down/down on a 6509's MSFC Cisco Switch
excluding config problems?

Thanks,
