thanks

Got it working. I was missing 2 things
1 - as you pointed out, dialer remote <remote_name>
2 - dialer string xxxx class test_callback
        map-class dialer test_callback
                dialer callback-server username

I have 2 more questions
1. Tried the dial-string option in the map class above
<snip from ? in map-class>
  dial-string Get return call dial string from dial string option of
callback negotiation
<snip>

How do ask client to send it's dial string to server ?
Is there any such command on client dialer interface
        dialer my_string_for_callback_negotiation ??

2. what is difference between these 2 server side configs
ppp callback permit (this works for me)
ppp callback accept (i get error message
No callback configured for user remote_router_name)

thanks again
