I noticed this too. So what would be the point of ever doing a remote cost
if the local cost is going to override it?

Oh yes... there are 2 type of cost "remote" and "local". Remember that local
will override the remote. default cost is 3. try altering the local cost and
u will see the result that it will prefer the lowest.
