Loizos, On the 3550 that i have used, the ip routing is disabled by default.
I also tried to give the no ip routing in globla. I can ping the router that
is doing the trunking and bridging but can't get to the other subinterface
on the same network. It's vary strange. It does work when I port the same
routers to a 2924XL and just do a clear arp. Bing-Go it works. Put it back
on the 3550 and no go. I was reading the thread and I have the same
equipment and wanted to give it a try.
Thank you for you input.
Chris

Chris,
You probably using an EMI image. Since you using the
3550 as a L2 switch you might have to disable routing
(no ip routing). For some reason the default gateway
does not work with EMI L3.
Try it out and let me know
Loizos
