Open the case and try reseating the memory. This has worked in the past on
2500s with similar problems.

Subject: Bus err upon boot up,, 3640
Greetings, I need help to determine what can be done to fix this issue,
router boots up to rommon> with this error message - Please see
attachment . I've tried to locate the flash by issuing dir flash:
x.x.x.xx.x , but no matter what I do, I've also plugged in my 1600
pcmcia flash card into slot 1 and 0 on the 3640 to see if it at least
gets read, but I keep getting the same bus erro message.. bus err when
trying to read flash. slot 0 is empty, or slot 1 is empty ( for the flash
). Any ideas and any help can be really appreciated. ( I'd hate to loose
my 2 3640s , cause both of them are doing the same thing. ) Thanks, Eyad
