For vty sessions use access-class

For snmp/http type in the the access list at the end of the line i.e

Snmp-server community text ro 1

As a 2900 is a layer 2 and accesslists deal mainly layer 3 there is not much
need for them on this device

Hi, all,

I need your help.

I am wondering if it is possible to configure " Access-list " on Catalyst 2900XL. There is a command line which indicates " Access-list" in global config mode.

However, I could not find any commands which connect the access-list that I created to the interface...

Do I need to upgrade the IOS ? Or is there any other way to activate the access-list?

BTW , CCO says that if it is C2950 with IOS12.1(11)EA or 12.1(6)EA2, it is possible to configure the access-list without any difficuluty.

Thank you!!
