RE: OT: Urgent Help req on 2501

The flash detail shows that the 2501 router is equipped with 2 - 4 mb
flash simms.

The 2500 series will NOT do a file transfer via the console port like
you can do in the 1700/2600/3600 series routers since you have a RXBoot
image in the roms.

If you have tried to download the file multiple times and it refuses to
work then one of two problems has occurred.

First problem: The original file on the tftp fileserver is corrupt.

Second problem: One of the two 4 mb flash simms (if not both) are bad
and will need to be replaced. I would look at getting two new 8 mb
flash simms for the 2500 series router. (This is more than likely the
problem.)

If you buy 3rd party flash simms for your router you might also need to
upgrade your boot roms.

This should fix the problem.
