Thanks for the quick response on this.
I think the resister is 0x2142 I can force the image to load by typing i to
initialize
but it doesn't default to the startup config.
I'll try the 0x2101
anyone know how to do this while the router is running. It supports our
internet connection for 700+ lawyers adn staff.

0x2102 should do the trick, if the IOS image is valid. Watch the startup
messages, you might have other problems.
