Hi,
Cat3550 don't have all the router's commands. Below is
the example that we run the same command from a router
and a 3550:
r5(config-if)#ip r?
rarp-server redirects rip route-cache router
rsvp rtp
Cat3550(config)#int fa 0/4
Cat3550(config-if)#ip r?
% Unrecognized command
As for beda's questions:
aging time:
Cat3550(config)#mac-address-table ?
aging-time Set MAC address table entry maximum
age
notification Enable/Disable MAC Notification on the
switch
static static keyword
and for alias:
alias exec r1 telnet 172.16.1.1
I'm no 3550 expert, if someone have a list of cat5k
equivalent commands, please share.
