I agree with you, perhaps I should have made myself clearer, obviously don't
study aspects of a protocol/technology that can only be used with hardware
that is no longer on the exam, assuming that passing the exam is your
primary focus. Believe it or not there are still some large token ring
installations out there, so for practical purposes it might actually be good
to know. I was primarily trying to impress upon the reader the importance
of knowing everything about the topics on the exam. Good luck!

I disagree! Token-Ring is missing from the new lab exam so I personally
would not bother learning the intricacies of DLSw that pertain to Token-Ring
segments. Use your valuable time to learn what is actually on the exam.
Just my 2 cents
Darren
P.S. DLSw lite is one of the encapsulation types that you need to know along
with TCP encapsulation.

I would say that all the different flavors of DLSw are important to study,
just as any other topic on the test.

Does anyone think Dlsw "lite" is an important topic to cover? If so, do you
know of any good links for it's configuration. The Solie book talks about
it for 1/2 a page but no detail.
