Hi Chenyan
how bout R2. the virtual-link on R2 needs to use authentication as well. and as for virtual link
adjency, check you log see if it's full adjency and then do a show ip ospf virtual-link.
make sure the state is FULL, something like the following
Virtual Link OSPF_VL0 to router 10.129.72.37 is down
Run as demand circuit
DoNotAge LSA allowed.
Transit area 1, Cost of using 65535
Transmit Delay is 1 sec, State DOWN, <<<<<<= this one should be FULL
Timer intervals configured, Hello 10, Dead 40, Wait 40, Retransmit 5
hope that helps.

hi,guys
(area0)R1(area1)-------(area1)R2(area3)
if there is no authentication everything is fine, the R1 can obtain the networks of area3, but when
i used the md5 authentication in area0, the networks of area3 is not seen by R1, even I used the
virtual-link authentication the R1 can still not see the networks of area3. But I can see all the
virtual links are up.
why?
Thanks
