You could prepend the route as it comes into the router on which you want it
to appear coming from AS99. Something like this:

router bgp 123
neighbor 1.1.1.1 remote-as 65000
neighbor 1.1.1.1 route-map prepend in
!
route-map prepend permit 10
set as-path prepend 99

Guys, thanks for all your help..

Ok,
Got this working using the following:

1.Neighbor local-as command
2.using confederation id statement

Working on 3. Method at moment
Prepending as99 to the original networks and the removing private as using
the remove-private-statement... Though this is not currently working..

Anyone know how to get that 3. One working.. No matter what I do it doenst
seen to remove the 65000.

Kind regards.
Paul.

Hello,

I need some help with a lab I am working on.

The AS 65000 peers with multiple other AS's.
I need to find 3 different ways to make AS65000 look like it came from AS99
in the other peers tables, without changing the router bgp AS Number.

Note : AS99 does not exist.

I am not sure how to do this, nor can I find info on CCO how to do this.
I thought about prepending, but this only make AS65000 look like it passed
through AS99..

Can anyone provide any assistance regarding this...

Any help appreciated.
Kind regards.

Paul.
