  Reflections on old mails............

   Hi;
        I dont think there is a relationship between set cam & set span.
  Set cam is useful for any device that you always want to be online
  immediately without having first to perform an arp. This would apply
  to perhaps test equipment, that is measuring network Qos etc.

        Set span is just normal span, however if I wanted to monitor
  a test device then I could use both commands, however there is
  no relationship between the two. Well thats my opinion.

        The question of using CAM and SPAN together was posed some time ago,
and I don't think that there was a good answer at the time. Does anyone
have a good answer now? Just can't seem to understand why you should
statically set CAM Macs when using SPAN as some have recommended. Thanks in
advance.
