Asim,
What is happening here is a normal behaviour for a switch configured with
TACACS+ authent. What you need to do is disable TACACS from the config and
then you will be able to enter the menu or CLI system. I am pretty sure that
if you boot it and hold down the menu button on the front while it is
booting you can then access it (but check this on CCO for the exact
technique).

Subject: 1912 switch
Hi all,
I have a 1912 cisco switch which is giving me a
problem. When I start it up, it boots fine and passes
the post, after that I get two option as "K" or "M".
When I press M(main menu) it says "you can't go this
option because TACACS+ is enable", and after pressing
any key I get the same above two option(K and M).
When I press K(go to command line) and then press any
key it again comes to the same option(K and M). It is
doing this repeatedly and I am unable to configure the
switch.
Is the IOS has gone bad? I appreciate any advise.
Regards.
