In this scenario, i have enabled point-point sub int. on the Hub and physical o
n the spokes.
Given frame map bridge broadcast on the sopkes and Hub.

Pinging from a PC in R2, iam getting encapsulation failed when I do
debug ip packet. Tried various options on the sopke, point-point, multipoint et
c and
even enabled IRB with BVI on R2. But still the same error. What could be the pr
oblem?.

hi ;
these scenario will not work in briding as well as some other things i come to
discover .
ipx rip ---> you cannot disable split horizon , you need subif.
Nlsp------> also you need subif (duno why )
briding --> packets will not return back from the same interface .

pim dense mode --> the prune will not be listened by spokes and cannot be overr
ide ...use sparse mode .

All has bridging switched on. Since they are all using physical interface, I need to configure "frame-relay map bridge [dlci] broadcast" on every router. The R1 will have two frame-map bridge mappings as it is the hub. I also enable d IRB and created a BVI1 on R3. The command "bridge 1 route ip" is configured o nly on R3 since the BVI is there. > >Tested by pinging the BVI1 on R3 from a PC connected to the e0 of R1 and R2.
