Make sure you have a voice port that handles DID...

There is only one analog VIC that supports it: VIC-2DID, but you should be
OK using DID with digital.

Keep in mind that the VIC-2DID only does DID calls, no outbound calls.

Couple questions for you in order to help you out:

1) What kind of voice-port is 1/0 and 1/1? FXO/FXS/E&M?
2) What are they connected to?
3) You say you are getting a busy tone when you pick up the phone, are you
trying to configure a Private Line Auto Ringdown (PLAR) connection?
4) What digits are being sent to you in order to route as a DID?

Thanx

Dear,

I have the below diagram and r1 config
r1(10.4.1.1)--------------(10.4.1.2)r2

r1(config):
voice-port 1/0
!
voice-port 1/1
!
!
dial-peer voice 2 voip
 destination-pattern 5919696
 session target ipv4:10.4.1.2
!
dial-peer voice 3 voip
 destination-pattern 3600
 session target ipv4:10.4.1.2
!
dial-peer voice 1 pots
 destination-pattern 1000
 direct-inward-dial
 port 1/0

the question is I can't config DID on r1 and I just get a "busy tone" when I
pick up the phone on r1. So can anyone tell me how to config DID. And I
don't know how to config and how to use "incoming called-number " and
"answer-address". Please tell me. THX
