Yes... the 3550 12T ships with the EMI image by default. I don't even think
it's available with SMI.

What about the 3550-12T (10 auto sensing
10/100/1000 ports and 2 GBIC slots). I've worked with
them a lot and we were running routing protocols with
them out of the box (OSPF, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP)... no BGP
support. The 3550 also supports vrf lite (future
release) which can be used to extend your MPLS VPN
networks to the CE devices. Does anyone know if this
ships with the EMI image by default?
