Hi,
This simply means the attacker must know the frequency used for WLAN
communications. Read
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/so/cuso/epso/sqfr/safwl_wp.htm about
this and search for "spreading sequence".
Regards,
Justin

Subject: OT:wireless security question
i have a question about security on wireless. if i use Direct Sequence (DS)
frequency will air snort or a similar product be able to pick information.
here is what im referring to off of an article : "techniques present
unintended receivers with a difficult problem. In the case of Direct
Sequence(DS), an eavesdropper must know the chipping (spreading) code." so
would air snort be able to pick the "chipping(spreading) code"?
