Hello

p. 1167
9.2 Configure R3 so that workstations in Vlan 30 can dynamically
locate
their default gateway. They are not using DHCP. (R3 hosts Vlan 30.)

- configure ip irdp on the router

p. 1175
2.2 Configure the Catalyst so that if the backplane of the switch
gets
overloaded, the ports in VLAN 30 get serviced before those in VLAN 50.
(The
switch hosts these two vlans in question.)

- configure "set port level" on the cat5k

p. 1177
11.1 Configure R1 so that when the user unnamed logs into the router,
that user immediately is put in enable mode.

configure " username unamed password blahblah privilid.. level 15"

By the way i think you can found the solutions on www.ciscopress.com
under
the dl section.

cheers
Louis

Hello,

I'm totally stuck with the following questions from the CCIE Practical
Studies vol. 1. I'd appreciate any answers, hints or suggestions.
Thanks.

9.2 Configure R3 so that workstations in Vlan 30 can dynamically
locate
their default gateway. They are not using DHCP. (R3 hosts Vlan 30.)

p. 1175
2.2 Configure the Catalyst so that if the backplane of the switch
gets
overloaded, the ports in VLAN 30 get serviced before those in VLAN 50.
(The
switch hosts these two vlans in question.)

p. 1177
11.1 Configure R1 so that when the user unnamed logs into the router,
that user immediately is put in enable mode.
