Hello group,
If there is any way to manipulate external hop count in IPX EIGRP or RIP ?
Something like offset-list for IP RIP ?
For example, I have routes:
1) 1st route exists under normal conditions
E 7 [292864000/3] via 8.0002.0002.0002, age 00:00:08, 1u,
Se0/0
2) 2nd one is appeared when se0/0 goes down and backup via ISDN goes up
E 7 [2561152000/1] via 14.0006.0006.0006, age 00:01:48, 603u,
BRI0/0
When serial link is restored - 2nd route still exists (and first one doesn't
come in), because
route 2) is preferable as its external hop count equals "1" as opposite to
"3" (route 1).
Is it possible to make route 1) prefered over 2) ?
Change(ignore) hop count via bri0/0 ?
I know that "backup interface" would work fine...
Does anybody know what "ipx algorithms" command means ?
I got this situation in "Desktop protocols case study" M.Satterlee&S.Hutnik
CCIE Lab practice kit.
Thanks,
Dmitry
