Reflection, Hyperterm, or CRT

In Singapore, I was given my choice between a terminal server (didn't ask
what software to connect with, but presume HyperTerm) or Reflections. I had
always used a terminal server, but picked up Reflections instantly. No
problem.

Reflections is about $350, so I bought CRT from www.vandyke.com for about
$35 per license (I bought 3). It feels just like Reflections; probably
tuning features would be different if you had time to evaluate them deeply.
Also, bought two 8-port RocketPort PCI cards from Comtrol Inc. (eBay, $75
each) to add 16 COM ports to my PC. Bought a bunch of console cables ...
goodbye terminal server. Now I open a window for each router/switch. It's
great!

Bottom line: use what you like. The lab will be comfortable.

HTH, Kym
