Jason,
It looks like Cisco bought the SMI models for the lab but they are
upgrading them to EMI. I just hope Cisco paid for the EMI software
upgrade ;-)

But i thought they were using the smi code, not emi,,, from various GS
emails

on another note, i heard from somewhere(dont remember where) that
before
nov the switches would use smi,, after nov4 they would use emi. anybody
have any thoughts on this?

Even if they don't replace these topics with anything else, think about
it:

The two 3550s they are replacing the 5xxx with give you in effect a
total of
*eight* routers now rather than six. The network complexity is
obviously
much higher.

I have an Oct. 4th date, and yer darn tootin' I am going to put
everything
else on hold (sleep if need be) to get ready for that date:)

Hi all,

I have my lab date on Oct. 4th in Brussles but my prep work is going
slow
and I may have to look for a later date this year (late Nov./early
Dec.),
depending on my prep work etc.

I was wondering, Cisco are dropping IPX, IGRP and Token Ring from the
lab
(Nov. onwards) but does anyone know what subject area will replace it,
i.e.
will there be more IP scenarios etc?.

Thanks,
Malcolm
