What type of router are you using to run mpls?
It is not supported on the lower/older routers.

Subject: OT - MPLS capabilities in IOS
All,
I'm currently running IOS 12.1(5)T9, but it doesn't seem to have MPLS
capabilities. I get the "unrecognized command" output from the CLI when
I try to type in the basic "tag switching" commands.
Here's my question: Does IOS 12.1.16 with the "Service Provider" feature
set allow full MPLS functionality?
I've searched the cisco web site for the answer, but I haven't had any
luck yet.
Before anyone sends any flames my way... I know that MPLS is not on the
R&S lab exam. That's why I designated this message as OT.
Thx
