I had the same problem with some 12.2 code that I tried to put on one of my
2500 series routers. But the same image worked on another 2500. So I
eventually just got another version of the IOS and it worked fine on all. I
will check my home lab, and return you the version of code.

Cheers,

Mark Snow

Subject: invalid checksum

I have a 2509 router with 8mb flash
So to run the 12.1 ios I got another 8 MB flash

Now my router has 16mb (8+8)

I have downloaded a ios c2500-js-l.121-2.T.bin
Release -------------------12.1
Description-------------- ENTERPRISE PLUS
Size ----------------------14553920
BSD Checksum-------- 59411
Router Checksum------ 0x8da5
MD5
----------------------c792d6e494e863ca2ba97438cdf90b9c

Date Published: ----------22-MAY-2000

Now when I put this file in my router it shows that
the file size is the same as what is on cisco site
But it gives me a invalid checksum

I was just thinking has this got to do any thing with
having two flash chips (8+8)

I have not made any partition and other ios do not
give me this problem but the other ios is just 7 Mb
