Hi George
I am so sorry for you, but you will get it next time.
Thats a strange story you tell us, no on site proctor so whats that
mean, if i go to south africa nobody check me? Poor quality!!!!!!
You mention nobody check your id, i have faced the same on my 2 attempt(s)
About the score grading, i just read a presentation of networkers 01, if
somebody needs it just drop me a mail, its very usefull.
You dont get any partial marks. If you configure only 3/4 of a task for
example 5 marks you loose all, and if the section gets 10 marks, you will
get a result of 50%.I already initiate a rescoring and pay 250$ for it, the
result was exact the same as from the first proctor. Finally i have i all
sections a little mistake and this costs me the number (i think)
Finally i would write a mail to the ccie team to report this poor quality
this is not what they should provide for 2200$.
keep in touch
Louis

Subject: lab attempt in johannesburg
hi All,
I took the lab yesterday in johannesburg (1st attempt) and unfortunately
didnt make it.
Taking the lab in johannesburg was a big mistake and definately wouldnt
recommend it.
- The lab is done remotely to equipment in brussels
- The line went down about 5 times during my exam
- There is no onsite proctor and you have to call brussels for clarity
on
any questions.
- I tried calling 3 times and only got through once. The other 2 times
the
proctors phone went to voice mail.
I lost about 30-45min with the above issues and was unable to finish
certain
sections before time was up.
Also, the pc that i was working at didnt work initially - They were kind
enough to give me the 20min back for that.
I felt quite confident after the exam that i was going to make it but
got
the bad news this morning. Im thinking of a remark as i disagree with
the
grading i got for certain sections.
Now the problem is the 4 week wait period as well as the LONG wait for
another lab seat.
One more thing, if Cisco is really interested in the integrity of the
exam
that should pay more attention to the lab facilities and make sure they
check ID - I wasnt asked for ID yesterday. The pc I was working on was
extremely slow and twice gave runtime errors and closed all applications
i
was working on.
I guess it's back to the rack time.
regards,
George
