Some information you may find useful since I had the same problem
setting up my Merge:

- I bought a "Do-it-Yourself" RJ12 Female Adapter (6 pins) and the cable
is what I believe a patch phone cable. The cable has 6 pins on both ends
and it's a rollover cable. (White,Black,Red,Green,Yellow,Blue on one end
and Blue,Yellow,Green,Red,Black,White on the other end)
Pin assignment for RJ12 Adapter:
Pin 2:Black
Pin 3:Yellow
Pin 5:Red
Pin 7:Blue
Pin 6:Green
Yellow wire is not used.

- You need the PAW software. Contact the Sales at MergeTech and ask for
the software. Don't say you bought the item on Ebay but that you are
working for a prestigious company and you need to setup one simulator :)
They will provide you a password and a link.

Good luck,

Fabrice
