Gabriel,

Certainly. However, you will not be able to use the "standard" Fast
Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet line cards or Gigabit Ethernet ports on
supervisor module. You will need to have FlexWan or an Optical Services
Module (OSM) in the 6500. For example, the GigE WAN card could be used for
Ethernet over MPLS (EoMPLS) functionality.

More info:

limit/121e/121e8/tryvlan.htm#xtocid114080 <EoMPLS - watch the wrap>

Currently, there are caveats for enabling certain MPLS functionality on the
box, such as: IP to label, label to label, and label to IP - not to mention
MPLS VPN functionality. Many of these caveats stem from the limitation of
the PFC 2 and the fact that it only understands Ethernet frames. To provide
label imposition/disposition you will need a PXF enabled card (OSM) or a
Port Adapters serviced by a FlexWAN. SUP3/PFC3 will address these concerns.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Brian
