Today I tried getting the 2523 TokenRing0 DB-9 port to work using a
standard Cisco DB-9/RJ-45 adapter (and 9M-9M gender adapter). I tried
connecting to my MAU with a straight-through, a crossover, and a Cisco
rollover cables, but the line would not come up. Finally I plugged a
straight-through cable to the TokenRing RJ-45 port on the 2523 and it
came up right away as expected.
Is there a command to select the 2523 DB-9 port? (Or more likely, do I
just need the correctly wired cable?)
