Jason,

Use 'no keepalive' on your ethernet interfaces, and they'll stay up
with nothing plugged into them.

Subject: Ethernet loopback plug?

I am doing the CC bootcamp labs and I am running into a problem. On the
first lab, four routers are involved; several of which the Ethernet
interfaces are connected to separate broadcast domains. Now I only have
2 machines currently and let's say there are 5 separate broadcast
domains. Is there a plug/cable/adapter I can use to bring the Ethernet
interfaces up/up instead of connecting them to several separate machine
(of which I don't have?).

I also realize I can connect them to a hub, but I may run out of ports.
Just curious!
