I was told by a proctor at RTP that their goal was REAL "ROUTING AND SWITCHING"
 as in
a 5500 with RSM/6500 MSFC-II/2950 etc. etc.

So maybe they ARE going to finally do VLANS and Layer3 switching stuff... etc.
