Hello Group,
Anybody got any idea what is the recommended part# to upgrade a CX-FEIP2-2TX
module to 32MB DRAM. The most I can get from the CCO is 16MB only. We ran
into a problem when we upgraded the IOS on 7505 to 12.2(4T) codes. The
router failed to properly detect the FEIP2 module. We found out it would
require 32MB on FEIP2 to boot properly with the new IOS version. One problem
is that this module is already EOS and upgrading to FEIP2-DSW might not be
cost effective. I tried on a test bed, 2x 16MB SIMM's (70ns) from 2500
routers and the 7505 were able to detect the module, but TAC said it is not
a recommended part and advised against of using it.
Somebody from this group came across this problem and solution ???
