EIGRP Adjacency across ATM Cloud

I have an ATM attached local Router under my control ...

I now have the challenge of forming EIGRP adjacency with another Cisco Router
across the service provider ATM Cloud.

I discover PVC parameters using LMI.

I configure the VPI/VCI and map IP parameters.

Vow !!! I can ping the other end right away.

But no EIGRP adjacency in sight...... debug eigrp "x" does not bring any
clue...

What would you folks suggest ???
