RE: ISDN PRI, dial up users and digital modems

You'll want "isdn incoming voice modem" just like you put... Because
the analog calls will be detected as voice calls.

Now, with that, you'll need two separate virtual interfaces. A
"Group-Async" to handle the analog calls and a "dialer" interface to
handle the digital ones.

There are plenty of samples and explanations on CCO. A fairly detailed
set can be found at:

isdn.htm

Hope that helps.

Subject: ISDN PRI, dial up users and digital modems

Hi,

I am trying to get both ISDN and 56k users to be able to dial into the
channelized E1 interface on a 3640 and authenticate via radius.

The config works because the 56k users can, but when and ISDN user tries
to authenticate there is a ppp error and the connection is dropped.

I have put the "ISDN incoming-voice modem" command in and then tried
"ISDN incoming-voice data" on the S1/0:15 int. Neither made a
difference.

Does anyone have experience of this ? A working config would be greatly
appreciated.

I am using IP unnumbered on the E1 and a group-async interface.

I would be greatful for any help because I am getting close to throwing
the 3640 out of the window.
