You should be able to just use your existing cat5 infrastructure. Use a
normal rolled cable on the one side and standard straight through cables
everywhere in between
Good luck

Subject: Extending console cable
Can someone help me understand how to connect a PC to the console port of a
router through a Cat 5 patch panel?
My term server is on the other side of a wall. I can connect via Cat 5
jacks I had installed, but do I need to make these jacks rolled or 568B?
Do I need two console cables or just one?
Please let me know.
Thanks.
