Hi David
     I think that the call manager that comes with the Cisco box has a
different installer than the software only version that you need to get to
load onto a DL380. Have you also tried the BIOS updates that are on CCO for
the Compaq box ?

I'm trying to installa demo/training Cisco CallManager
3.1 (CCM) server on Compaq DL380 with 512M RAM
(non-Cisco branded - privately bought). Having gone
through all the install steps & can't launch CCM. The
same CDs install works fine on Cisco 780 box.
I understand Cisco make CCM work only with IBM &
Compaq servers, but does this mean you can't get a
machine independently & put the CCM software on it? I
think they use the box ROMs to lock it with particular
brands. So can't see why the Compaq Proliant DL 380
(which is in Cisco docs as a valid box) will not work?
any ideas?
