You got a telco to admit that their equipment was the problem??? Impressive.

Hope you got it on tape...

Please disregard.

After a long conference call Telco confirmed that you do not swap VPI/VCI
likes DLCI's and the problem ended up being somewhere within their network.

Cheers,

Subject: Simple ATM Question

I have a simple ATM question but my service provider can not answer it and I
know most people out here can.

We are installing an ATM hub and spoke environment and I'm trying to
determine if VPI/VCI's are similiar to DLCI's as in do they need to be
switched in the router from what telco identifies for the circuit.

For example, if I am provided 1/42 at site A and 1/43 at site B which is
the correct configuration?

Site A:

pvc 1/42

Site B:

pvc 1/43

OR

Site A:

pvc 1/43

Site B:

pvc 1/42

TIA,
