ipx sap-incremental rsup-only

Can someone explains why the following sample configuration files use "ipx
sap-incremental eigrp 999 rsup-only" instead of "ipx sap-incremental eigrp
999"? Is this because of the router is running both eigrp and rip? If this
is the case, don't we need "ipx sap-incremental eigrp 999" to take care of
eigrp?
