Maybe i phrased my question wrong. I was looking for this trick because it
gave info about ipx on the neighbor and what was running. It did not have to
do with setting up subinterfaces and encapsulations, and it was much simpler
then all of that and gave more information. I will find it when I find the
rest of my ECP notes and post what it is and what it does.
If Fred Ingham is reading, maybe he would know what i am looking for. I
think it had to do with setting up one of the ipx protocols temporarily and
then doing some show command which would then give you some detailed info on
the neighbor such as timers, network, protocols etc. I am sure it was a
simple show command that you did after an initial temporary config.
