Suppose you have a router with a single FXS card, let's say:

voice-port 1/0
voice-port 1/1

To configure the hunt group, simply create the dial peer to include the physica
l port. Then, assign the same destination pattern to each dial-peer. Lastly, us
e the 'preference' command. By default, the dial peer is 'preference 0'. The se
cond dial-peer would use 'preference 1', and so forth. Accepted values are 1-10
.

Group,

I am looking to configure a hunt group on a standard voice box with fxs
cards, i.e if one number does not answer or failes the next number in the
chain is dialed.

i.e user 1 (phone 2212) dials 3777, if 3777 does not answer or fails then
thr router automatically dials 3778

I know this can be done with call manager with a hunt group, but can it be
done on a standard router with no call manager. I have checked CCO and
cannot find any reference to this kind of thing..

Thanks

Steve
