The ring numbers in a TR switch are entered in HEX. To get IP traffic to
work you must ensure that the port you are plugged into is in the correct
CRF and the CRF is in the correct BRF. The addresses, etc must be in the BRF
and the BOOTP always or as needed needs to be selected.

                When configuring a token ring switch for ring numbers,
                i know you enter the ring number for each CRF or just
                leave it at auto. But if you decide to enter the ring
                number, do you enter in decimal or in Hex.
                I just have a little doubt about it.
                2) If you configure an ip and default gateway for the
                switch, i think i should be able to ping the default
                gateway from the switch. I have not been able to get
                this to work. Am i right?
