I had something similar. It turned out that my terminal program was set
for hardware flow control - I needed to change it to flow control - none.
Other settings were 9600,n,8,1

Sorry for the OT ....
My router was working yesterday but when i open it today it just stuck in
to
the following :
System Bootstrap, Version 11.0(10c)XB2, PLATFORM SPECIFIC RELEASE SOFTWARE
(fc1)
Copyright (c) 1986-1998 by cisco Systems
I thought it is the DRAM or flash issue i tried changing it but no luck...
i
also swap its flash and dram to other router and it is working fine....
had anyone gone through this issue and solved it or i should think that it
is
dead... : - (
also i am not able to get in to the rom-mode.
I am in a hurry , my lab is on 30th of this month 7 days to go..... and my
router is not working....
Any guru can help me !!
