Building a home lab

I am getting ready to start purchasing equipment to build my own lab at
home and wanted to get some advice. How much is typically spent on
Cisco 2500 series routers. I have seen a few on E-Bay in the 300-600
dollar range, but didn't know what was a good price and what was over
priced.

Any suggestions?
