Roger,
Make sure the little dot at the top of the prom lines up with the little triang
le on the prom socket. Also make sure the FW1 and FW2 are in the correct socke
ts. If you have already verified that then I suspect that 1) your board is dam
aged (unlikely) or 2) you have smoked the boot proms due to electrostatic disch
arge. I just recently upgraded two 2502 to 11.0 bootproms so I know that that
model works with the latest boot proms. Good luck.

I upgraded 2 boot ROMs on a 2502 from 5.2 to 11.0, but the router could
not boot anymore after that. I changed the ROMs back, but it still does
not boot. What could have caused that?
